PROVO, Utah – BYU women's volleyball head coach Shawn Olmstead announced Monday the team will welcome three additional freshmen to the 2015 roster.

Emily Lewis, Lacy Haddock and Lyndie Haddock will join Sophie Cram, Veronica Jones and Kiani Tuileta as the six additions to this year's squad.

"We're excited to add Emily, Lacy and Lyndie to our recruiting class," Olmstead said. "All three will add talent and depth to our team. Emily can hit from either side and is a very talented blocker. Lacy and Lyndie are both very skilled and are competitive and versatile players."

Lewis, a 6-foot-4 Highland, Utah, native, joins the team as a right/outside hitter.

She joins BYU after a successful high school career at Lone Peak. Additionally, she participated in the Aces Athletics - 18 Elite club coached by former Cougar player Christie Carpenter.

Lacy, a senior from Timpview High School, will play outside hitter for BYU.

She joins the Cougars as the 2014 Daily Herald Utah Valley Player of the Year. She also played for the Aces Athletics club team, helping the squad become the Super Regional Idaho Classic Qualifier champions.

Lacy's sister Lyndie, also from Provo, Utah, will contribute on the team as a setter.

She helped her high school squad to consecutive state titles as a junior and senior. Additionally, Lyndie was named the back-to-back Timpview Defensive Player of the Year in her last two years of high school.

The freshmen join a team that went 30-5 overall and advanced to the national championship match of the NCAA tournament for the first time in school history a season ago. The team lost four seniors in 2014, including starters Jennifer Hamson and Tambre Nobles, older sister of Lacy and Lyndie.
