SAN BRUNO, Calif. - BYU women's volleyball was picked to finish first and four Cougars were named preseason all-conference on Monday by the West Coast Conference's head coaches.

Winners of the last five WCC titles, BYU earned every first place vote allowed (coaches could not vote for their own teams), finishing with 81 points. San Diego was picked second with 71 points and Pepperdine in third with 66 points.

The Cougars' senior libero Mary Lake, senior outside hitter McKenna Miller, junior middle blocker Kennedy Eschenberg and sophomore middle blocker Heather Gneiting were each voted preseason All-WCC. All four are returning All-Americans.

Lake was the only libero named to the team while Eschenberg and Gneiting were two of the four middle blockers selected. BYU tied Pepperdine for the most players on the team.
