POSTGAME QUOTES

BYU Coach Steve Cleveland:

-"After half-time, we went to a basic zone set because the post guys exhibited that they could score."

-"In the second half, we were much more in an attacking mode and guys were attacking more to the basket."

-"Chris Miles got his confidence and just started playing."

-"I told Jared (Jensen) that you got to get a little nasty on the floor; it won't keep you out of heaven. Jared just needs to be challenged. It just comes down to his aggression level."

-"That's the best Mike Rose has played in a BYU uniform ever. It was his best defensive play ever."

-"Austin (Ainge) played with great composure and is really leading this team."

Santa Clara Coach Dick Davey:

- "The things that hurt us the most were BYU getting the ball inside and shooting 52 percent. That's much more successful than where we were shooting from."

-"It was a good college game the first 32 minutes followed by a bad eight minutes for us."

-"BYU is getting a lot better. I think a lot of Steve (Cleveland) as a coach and wish the best for him."
