PROVO -- On her birthday, senior Rebecca Pike helped BYU's 24th ranked women's tennis team get their third win in four days of play, beating the Oklahoma State Cowgirls 6-1.

"Today, the girls came out and played more good solid tennis," said head coach Craig Manning.

BYU got the early 1-0 lead with a doubles sweep. Cougars Olga Boulytcheva and Sofia Holden easily won 8-0, while Lauren Jones and Dolly Chang won 8-3 to give the Cougars the point. Later, Anastasia Sourkova and Jennifer Miccoli finished with an 8-5 win to complete the sweep.

The Cougars would go up 3-0 as Boulytcheva and Sourkova simply cruised to 6-0,6-1 and 6-1,6-1 victories respectively. Sourkova hasn't lost a match in eight tries. Her last loss was to Kansas State in late January. Then BYU's Jennifer Miccoli would pick up BYU's fourth point in a 6-2,6-3 win and assure the victory. BYU would also get solid wins from Dolly Chang and the birthday girl, Rebecca Pike, to close out the win.

The Cougars beat Utah on Friday 7-0, followed by a tough 6-1 victory over a good 21st ranked Norte Dame team on Saturday. This is BYU's 3rd win over Big 12 conference opponents; earlier in the year the Cougars defeated Kansas and Kansas State.

BYU travels to the Northwest to play the University of Portland on Friday, followed by a solid 29th ranked Oregon on Saturday. BYU is now 12-2 on the year.
