More honors have come in for BYU's baseball team in addition to signings and drafts.

Pitcher Jesse Craig (drafted 17th round by the Cincinnati Reds), was recently named All-America, Third Team by Ping!Baseball. Ping!Baseball also named Cougar third baseman Steve Parker to its Freshman All-America squad and centerfielder Stephen Wells as an honorable mention Freshman All-America.

Underclassmen Leon Johnson (10th round by the Chicago Cubs), Collin Fanning (36th round by the St. Louis Cardinals) and J.D. Stambaugh (25th round by the St. Louis Cardinals) all have signed with the pro teams that drafted them. Additionally,

senior pitcher Matt Jensen signed as a free agent with the Kansas City Royals and has been assigned to its single A team in Idaho Falls.

Three of BYU's November signees were selected in the Major League draft. Cole Abbott, was drafted by the New York Mets in the 25th round and signed with them. Taylor Cole was drafted in the 26th round by the Los Angeles Dodgers and has decided to enroll at College of Southern Nevada. Cedric Johnson was drafted by the Philadelphia Phillies in the 19th round.

Among the Cougars playing summer ball are Parker, Nelson Castleberry, Jonathan Cluff, Kasey Ko, Brandon Michon, Kent Walton, Michael Ward, and Jake Wortham.
