PROVO -- A conference-high 31 BYU football players were named to the 2008 Fall Academic-All MWC Team announced Monday.
"These academic awards are a reflection of the values and priorities we embrace as a program and the hard work and dedication of our student-athletes," said BYU head coach Bronco Mendenhall. "I congratulate those who have earned this well-deserved recognition."
Overall, BYU placed a league-best 72 student-athletes on the team. In addition to football, women’s cross country (14), women’s soccer (10), men’s cross country (9) and women’s volleyball (8) each had members earn academic all-conference honors.
