PROVO, Utah — College Football Network has recognized 17 members of the BYU football team on its Midseason All-Big 12 College Football Team.
Headlining the Midseason All-Big 12 list were first team selections Tyler Batty and Jakob Robinson. Batty also received Midseason Honorable Mention All-American recognition by CFN as an edge rusher, while Robison was named the CFN Big 12 Midseason Cornerback of the Year. Eddie Heckard, BYU’s other starting cornerback was also honored as the CFN Midseason Defensive Newcomer of the Year.
BYU receiver Chase Roberts was named to the CFN Big 12 second team, while LJ Martin, Isaac Rex, Kingsley Suamataia, Ben Bywater, Eddie Heckard Ryan Rehkow (specialist) and Marcus McKenzie (specialist) were all selected to the third team.
In addition, Kedon Slovis, Darius Lassiter, Connor Pay, Paul Maile, Max Tooley and Camden Garrett were recognized as honorable mention.
BYU (4-1) is coming off a bye week and will face former conference foe TCU (3-3) on Saturday, Oct. 14, at 2:30 p.m. CDT from Amon G. Carter Stadium in Fort Worth. The Cougars and Horned Frogs spent time in both the Western Athletic Conference and the Mountain West Conference before being reunited in the Big 12 in 2023.
