LUBBOCK, Texas – BYU women’s golf is tied for third after 36 holes of Texas Tech’s Red Raider Invitational played at The Rawls Course in Lubbock, Texas. 

The Cougars finished day one with a 1-under 287 and 3-over 291 to sit tied for third going into the final round on Wednesday.

The Cougars opened the tournament with a 1-under 287 followed by a 3-over 291 in the second round to sit in third trailing hosts Texas Tech and UNLV. The Red Raiders led the tournament at 5-under 571.

Lilly DeNunzio and Maria Jose “MJ” Barragan lead the way for BYU sitting as the duo sits seventh at 2-under 142. DeNunzio had the low round of the day for the Cougars shooting a 2-under 70 in the opening 18 holes followed by a 1-over 72 in the second 18 holes. Barragan shot a 1-under in both rounds. 

Senior Alexa Udom is tied for 23rd after she shot 2-over 146 with scores of 74 and 72. Adeline Anderson Wach shot a 4-over 148 to sit tied for 33rd. 

Sunbin Seo goes into round three 6-over and tied for 42nd.

The final round will begin at 8 a.m MST on Wednesday. Live scoring will be posted on Scoreboard.
