FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. –The Cougars (294-300–594) sit in second place after two rounds at the Blessings Golf Club on Tuesday alongside the help of two players in the top-10.

Sophomore Maria Jose “MJ” Barragan (71-72–143) went 1-under on the opening 36. Barragan’s highlight of the day came on the par-5 15th hole when she holed out a 50-degree wedge for eagle from 97 yards. She currently leads the Cougar squad and is tied for fourth place, five strokes off the lead.

BYU is 22 shots behind first-place and host Arkansas (279-293–572).

Alexa Udom is tied for 10th after she posted a 5-over 149 and is on pace for her best collegiate finish. Udom carded a 70 on day one, which ties her current career low 18-hole score and a 79 on day two.

Freshman Kanyanol (Naji) Aramkul (77-73–150) is tied for 14th and Lilly DeNunzio is 8-over as they head into day three.

Whitney Banz (82-81–163) is tied for 49th.

BYU will begin their final round at 10 a.m. MST on Wednesday. Live scoring will be updated on Scoreboard and footage of the event will be broadcaston Golf Channel at 2:30 MST.
