The BYU football team celebrated Christmas on Wednesday and visited SeaWorld San Antonio later in the day on the second day of the Valero Alamo Bowl week.

SAN ANTONIO, Texas — The BYU football team celebrated Christmas on Wednesday and visited SeaWorld San Antonio later in the day on the second day of the Valero Alamo Bowl week.

The team woke up Christmas morning with some gifts and a breakfast together with their families at the team hotel. Several players had prepared messages for Cougar Nation about their feelings on Christmas this year, shared on social media. 

In the afternoon, BYU and Colorado both visited SeaWorld San Antonio with their families for a joint activity. Live shows, animal interactions and roller coasters were all part of the fun. 

BYU's Chase Roberts, Parker Kingston, Therrian Alexander III, Jojo Phillips, Darius Lassiter, Will Ferrin and Sam Vander Haar all got into the water to interact with dolphins along with members of the Colorado team for a memorable experience. 

Following the activities at SeaWorld, the team spent time exploring San Antonio and enjoying hospitality at the team hotel with games and more activities. 

Thursday, several players and coaches will participate in the Fellowship of Christian Athletes Breakfast featuring former BYU defensive back Dewey Gray as the keynote speaker. BYU will practice in the morning and then select players and coaches will be participating in the team press conference to talk about Saturday's upcoming game. 

Later in the evening, both teams will be at the the fan event, the Ricos River Rally at the Arneson River Theatre on the Riverwalk at 5 p.m.

BYU plays Satuday against Colorado in the Valero Alamo Bowl at 6:30 p.m. CT at the Alamodome. The game will be televised on ABC.
