PROVO, Utah — The No. 67 Cougars (16-9, 6-6 Big 12) put up a fight against the No. 18 Knights, with a doubles ranked win from Kendall Kovick and Chelsea Bluestein and a singles ranked win from Grace Levelston, but BYU ultimately lost the match 4-3.

Levelston and Tullis took the first doubles match with a 6-3 win, followed by a doubles win from UCF.
Kovick and Bluestein took on No. 22 Rylatt and Lincer, matching them serve for serve. At 5-4 with their opponents to serve, Kovick and Bluestein finally broke the Knights and won the match 6-4, giving the doubles point to the Cougars.

The Knights evened the score 1-1 after winning the first singles point, but Tan retook the lead for BYU after winning her match in a close second-set tiebreaker, fending off a set point from her opponent.
Smith lost her first set but came back 6-2 in the second. She looked to continue the comeback in set three but lost 6-3, tying the overall score again, 2-2.
Kovick narrowly lost in a two-set match after a close second-set tiebreak, and UCF took the lead 3-2.
Levelston went up against No. 100 Biolay and lost the first set 6-2. She made a comeback in the second and third sets, winning both of them 6-3 to take the match and tie the overall score 3-3.
Huang played No. 98 Lincer, losing the first set 6-3. After a 7-5 second-set win, she traded games in the third set with her opponent. Huang was down 5-6 at deuce point with her opponent to serve, and Lincer took the match off a let serve.
