WACO, Texas – No. 68 BYU men’s tennis fell in its first-round matchup in the Big 12 tournament against Oklahoma State, 4-3.
The Cougs struck first, earning a tightly contested doubles point with wins from Zach Fuchs and Wally Thayne and a tiebreak win from Tygen Goldammer and TJ Wells. After going up 1-0, BYU lost three in a row, finding itself down 3-1. Despite the deficit, the Cougars tied it up at three, with wins from Goldammer and Fuchs. Court 6 was left playing in the third set, in which BYU would fall short, losing the match 4-3.
