The Cougars were led offensively by Lily Owens (.364), Hailey Morrow (.333), Aleia Agbayani (.333) and Miranda Mansfield (.333), who also finished the week with batting averages of 300 or better.

Lindy Milkowski and Ilove'a Brittingham tallied three RBI on the weekend, while Hailey Morrow notched two and Keila Kamoku one. Agbayani, Mansfield and Brittingham each drew one walk.

Kaysen Korth, Jada Villegas, Kate Dahle and Gianna Mares each spent time in the circle for BYU. Dahle starting game one, going four innings and giving up just one earned run while fanning three. Korth and Villegas combined for 13 innings of work and five strikeouts.

Heading into the final week of Big 12 play, the Cougars sit at No. 5 in the conference standings, in position for a first round bye at the Big 12 Championship at OGE Field at Devon Park in Oklahoma City next week.

Despite hitting just one home run in Waco last weekend, BYU continues to lead the league in home runs (74) and home runs per game (1.68). It is second in the Big 12 in hit batters (19), RBI per game (6.07), scoring (6.55) and slugging percentage (.556).

On an individual level, the Cougars are No. 1 in 10 statistical categories, with Brittingham a Big 12 leader in seven of them: batting average (.418), home runs (18), home runs per game (0.41), RBI (65), RBI per game (1.48), slugging percentage (.829) and total bases (121).

Korth paces the conference with five saves, as does Owens with 1.07 runs per game. Milkowski leads the league with 14 runners caught stealing, and has also hit a conference-high 11 home runs in Big 12 play.

BYU gets set to host Texas Tech for a second time in as many seasons. The Cougars' first Big 12 win in program history came against the Red Raiders in week one of league play last season.

  • The Red Raiders lead the all-time series, 4-2.
  • Texas Tech took last year's series, 2-1, winning the first two games, 10-5 and 15-0 (5) before BYU salvaged the set with a 10-8 game three victory, fueled by a Maddie Udall-Woolley grand slam in the sixth inning.
