PROVO, Utah — BYU softball freshman Ilove'a Brittingham was named to Softball America's Utility Player Power Ranking list, the outlet announced on Thursday morning.

Brittingham came in at No. 5, and is one of three freshmen among the 10-player list. She paces the Cougars in batting average, slugging percentage, hits, RBI, home runs, total bases, sacrifice flies and stolen bases.

The Nipomo, California native also leads the Big 12 in seven statistical categories: batting average (.418), home runs (18), home runs per game (0.41), RBI (65), RBI per game (1.48), slugging percentage (.829) and total bases (121).

Brittingham was also previously named to the NFCA National Freshman of the Year Top 25 list as well as Softball America's Freshman Power Rankings and Freshman Watch lists.
