PROVO, Utah – As the No. 9 seed, women’s golf is traveling to Charlottesville, Virginia to compete in the NCAA Charlottesville Regional from May 5-7 at Birdwood Golf Course.
The starting lineup includes seniors Alexa Udom and Adeline (Anderson) Wach, junior Lily McCauley, sophomore Maria Jose “MJ” Barragan and freshman Kanyanol (Naji) Aramkul. Junior Sunbin Seo will be present as a substitute.
BYU will compete against No. 4 South Carolina, No. 11 Virginia, No. 16 Ole Miss, No. 21 Florida, UCLA, UCF, Charleston, NC State, Princeton, Richmond and Radford. The top five teams and the lowest scoring individual not on those teams will advance to the NCAA National Championship, scheduled for May 16-21 at Omni La Costa Resort in Carlsbad, California.
The 54-hole tournament will be spread across three days, with the opening 18 holes on Monday and the concluding round on Wednesday.
This marks the 28th time the Cougars have competed in NCAA Regionals, with seven advancements to the NCAA National Championship.
