KANSAS CITY, Mo. — BYU women’s gymnastics standout Brynlee Andersen has been named Academic All-District by College Sports Communicators in the women’s at-large category, the organization announced Tuesday morning.

In order to qualify, the student-athlete must have a 3.50 GPA or higher, must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically and must have finished the season ranked in the top 75 in an event within their division according to Road to Nationals.

As BYU’s lone recipient of the honor, Andersen finished her sophomore season ranked No. 24 on balance beam, earning the title of 2025 Co-Event Specialist of the Year. With a 3.58 GPA studying psychology, Andersen was also named to the 2025 All-Big 12 Beam Team and qualified for Nationals as an individual on the beam, the first BYU gymnast to do so since 2021.
