BYU dropped two spots in this week's American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) poll after picking up another Big 12 split on its East Coast road trip last week. The Cougars beat Cincinnati in four sets before falling to West Virginia in five.

Big 12 Rookie of the Week Suli Davis led the way with 48 kills across the two matches, averaging 5.33 kills per set. She finished with a career-high 27 kills at Cincinnati on Wednesday night, which is second most by a Cougar freshman in the rally-scoring era, and was a dig shy of her third double-double on the year.

Claire Little Chambers (36 kills), Sophia Callahan (21 kills) and Brielle Kemavor (16 kills) joined Davis in double figures, with Kemavor's .419 hitting percentage a team high. The middle blocker also paced BYU at the net with 10 blocks, including five solo blocks, for an average of 1.11 blocks per set.

Alex Bower posted 96 assists on the week, averaging 10.11 per set while also recording a team-high 32 digs. Emma Barbero (26 digs), Little Chambers (22 digs), Davis (13 digs) and Lulu Uluave (11 digs) also finished with double-digit digs during the road trip.

Two weeks into Big 12 play, the Cougars lead the Big 12 in hitting percentage (.283) and assists per set (13.33). They rank second in the league in kills per set (14.32). As a team, BYU is No. 8 nationally in both kills per set and assists per set.

Bower leads the Conference in both assists per set (10.88) and total assists (620). She ranks No. 6 and No. 7 in the country, respectively, in those categories. Kemavor is 32nd nationally in hitting percentage, with a .405 clip on the season. Davis (239 kills) and Little Chambers (235 kills) are No. 34 and 39 in total kills.

Facing Houston at home for the second time in the last three season, the Cougars in blue look for a third-straight sweep over the Cougars in red.
