Marlboro, NJ — The BYU women’s gymnastics squad has been ranked No. 30 heading into the 2026 season as voted on by the Women’s Collegiate Gymnastics Association, the organization announced Tuesday afternoon.

With 39 first-place votes, reigning NCAA champion Oklahoma tops the preseason poll heading into the 2026 season. The Sooners are followed by LSU, Florida, UCLA and Utah as the top five programs heading into the new season. All but one BYU opponent for the upcoming season have been ranked amongst the top 36 teams, with Iowa State receiving votes.

BYU’s Big 12 conference matchups feature competitions against No. 5 Utah, No. 16 Denver, No. 18 Arizona, No. 25 Arizona State, No. 35 West Virginia and Iowa State (receiving votes).

The Cougars open their 2026 season with a home meet against No. 17 Oregon State on Friday, Jan. 9 at 7 p.m. MT in the Marriott Center.
