PROVO, Utah – BYU men’s tennis will compete in Provo for just the second time this season as they face the Idaho State Bengals on Saturday, Feb. 15. The Cougars are coming off a four-match road trip on the East Coast in which they were 4-0.
BYU Notes
- BYU is 6-1 on its season and is on a four-match win streak. The Cougars competed against Binghamton, Wagner, Villanova and Lehigh last week, picking up four wins.
- BYU earned its best start through seven matches in the last seven years. They look to improve to 7-1 against the Bengals on Saturday.
- Zach Fuchs and Wally Thayne are the No. 37 ranked doubles pairing in the latest polls released on Feb. 5.
- The Cougars have won their only match at home and will look to stay undefeated in Provo.
Idaho State Notes
- The Bengals have begun their season 4-3, most recently beating UNLV by one point, 4-3.
- Idaho State is led by head coach Oliver Good who is in his third season in Pocatello. The team also has assistant coach Ethan Lye, graduate assistant Patrick Kristensen, and volunteer assistant coach Mark Rodel.
- The Bengals have two matches in Utah this week as they head to Logan on Friday before coming to Provo on Saturday.
