PROVO, Utah – BYU earned its first ranked win of the Lee Cummard era on Wednesday by knocking off No. 19 Texas Tech Lady Raiders 73-61 at the Marriott Center.

“Hard-fought game, that is a really good team, really well coached with some really good players," head coach Lee Cummard said. "The game started a little slow…but Olivia came in and gave us a huge lift right from the jump…from there we played really well for the rest of the game. I'm just really proud of the group and glad to see their hard work paying off, and them being rewarded for how close a group it is and how hard they work to prepare for these games. I just want them to know that they’re a really good team and they were rewarded for that tonight.”

Freshman Olivia Hamlin led BYU with 20 points, shooting 60 percent from the field. Delaney Gibb contributed 18 points of her own, going 3-3 from behind the arc. Senior Lara Rohkohl also scored double figures, finishing with 15 points. She also led the team in rebounds with eight.
