LOGAN, Utah — Logan Hubler tied All-American Ben Barton for the No. 3 all-time BYU record in the 60-meter hurdles at the Utah State Roman Ruiz Speed and Power Invitational on Saturday afternoon.
The senior from San Tan Valley, Arizona, crossed the line in 7.82 to take first overall, setting the mark in his first appearance in the event since returning from injury. Hubler improved his personal best, previously set during the 2025 season, by 0.6 seconds.
Hubler competed alongside teammates Jayden Jessee and Garrett Copelin, who finished second and fourth after clocking 8.03 and 8.14, respectively. Jessee also set a personal record in the prelims of the 60m hurdles, finishing in 8.02.
Treyton Anderson competed in the 60m dash, finishing with a personal-best time of 7.01 seconds. Freshman teammate Silas Zimmerman cleared 5.13m/16-10 in the pole vault to take second overall.
On Friday, Carter Walker finished second overall in the high jump after clearing 2.04m/6-8.25, with teammates Connor Saunders and Hayden Gribble finishing third and fourth.
Peyton Williams competed alongside Erik Bryant in the weight throw, finishing second and sixth, respectively. Williams recorded a mark of 17.55m/57-7.
