COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — BYU wrapped its third and final day of the Air Force Invite with freshman Brooklyn Goeckeritz taking third.

“We had an outstanding competition with personal bests and Zone Cut scores by Sophia DeBergh on 3m and Ashton on Platform,” head diving coach Tyce Routson said. “The team’s on the climb ready for good things in the next month!”

On the men’s side, Martí Llop led BYU in the platform event with a second-place finish. He put up a 307.10 in the prelims and improved to a 362.70 in the finals. His final score marks the fourth-best performance on the platform in BYU history.

Ashton Sparks followed in fourth with a 293.95 in prelims and a 314.05, totaling with a 17.30 degree of difficulty. Elijah Baker also competed, taking 16th with a preliminary score of 200.10 on a 13.80 degree of difficulty.

Goeckeritz led the women’s team with a third-place finish in the platform event, scoring a 224.50 in the prelims and finishing with a 225.60 in finals. Her five dives amounted to a 12.10 overall degree of difficulty.

Sophomore Aubryn Ordyna also competed in finals, taking 11th. She scored a 207.75 in prelims and finished out finals with a 198.90 on a 12.30 degree of difficulty.

Senior Sophia DeBergh narrowly missed the cut for finals, taking 13th with a 177.30 on a 12.40 degree of difficulty.
