ARE THERE ESKIMO'S IN OKLAHOMA?
Wednesday will be the 11th all-time meeting between the two schools including the Cougars fourth trip to Gallagher-Iba Arena in Stillwater. BYU holds a 6-4 advantage in the series including winning the past two games, both of them coming inside the friendly confines of the Marriott Center.

Second-year head coach Kevin Young is 1-0 against the Cowboys after picking up a 85-69 victory in Provo last season. Five Cougars scored in double figures in the win with Trevin Knell scoring a game-high 18 points after going 4-of-9 from 3-point range. Egor Demin finished with 10 points, eight assists, two steals and a pair of blocks with Richie Saunders chipping in 12 points in 30 minutes of action.

The Cougars last win in Stillwater came on Dec. 15, 1971 where Bernie Fryer scored a team-high 21 points in a 84-74 victory. Kresimir Cosic chipped in 20 points and 9 rebounds going 9-of-15 from the field and made both of his free throw attempts.

LEFT, (W)RIGHT, LEFT
After going 0-of-5 from 3-point range to begin his BYU career, Robert Wright III has made at least one 3-pointer in the past 19 games including a career-high four in a win over Delaware. His current streak is the eighth-longest in a single season in program history.

With a three on Wednesday in Stillwater, Wright III would become just the eighth Cougar in program history with a 3-pointer in 20 consecutive games in a single season in program history.

The sophomore is shooting 43.26 percent from behind the arc this season which is the 17th highest 3-point field goal percentage in a single season in program history, .10 percent higher than Richie Saunders shot last season.

KEEP THE GOOD TIMES GOING
The Cougars enter Wednesdayís matchup having won 22 straight against non-ranked opponents dating back to a 73-69 victory at West Virginia on Feb. 11, 2025 that kick started a nine-game win streak for the Cougars.

During the current streak, BYU is outscoring opponents by 17.1 points per game while shooting 49.7 percent from the field, 35.9 percent from three and 73.2 percent from the free throw line.

IT'S WHAT HE DOES
Keba Keita was recently named to the Naismith Defensive Player of the Year Watch List and deservedly so as the senior is averaging 1.9 blocks per game and 2.0 blocks per game in league play. His team-high 36 blocks are five less than he had in 35 games last season.

The native of Bamako, Mali also ranks third in program history in career blocks per game (1.42) trailing only two players who played in the NBA, Shawn Bradley and Greg Kite. He also ranks 18th in program history in blocks with 77 and 20th in rebounds per game (7.83).

THE GRIND CONTINUES
AJ Dybantsa is 11 points away from becoming the third freshman in program history to score 500 points in their first season at BYU. Through 21 games, the 6-foot-9 forward holds a 23-point advantage over Danny Ainge in his pursuit to break the former Boston Celticís freshman scoring record at BYU, 489-466.

Dybantsa could potentially break a pair of freshman records on Wednesday as he sits 13 free throws away from passing Ainge and 10 free throw attempts from surpassing Shawn Bradley.

IT WAS ALL A DREAM
AJ Dybantsa double-digit scoring streak reached 21 games with 17 points on Saturday at Kansas breaking a tie with Coloradoís Alec Burks for the third-longest streak to begin a career in Big 12 history.

His 21 double figure scoring games are tied for the seventh-most by a freshman in program history with Tyler Haws. His 14 20-point performances are only four away from tying Danny Ainge for the frehsman program record.

SHOOTERS TOUCH
With his six 3-pointers at No. 14 Kansas, Richie Saunders became the eighth player in program history to connect on 200 3-pointers. Of those eight players, Saunders has the third-highest 3-point field goal percentage (39.3) trailing only Jimmer Fredette (39.4) and Trevin Knell (39.8). Saturday also marked the 10th time in his career with five or more 3-poiners, making him one of five players to achieve that feat.
