KANSAS CITY, Mo. – BYU’s AJ Dybantsa was named to the Phillips 66 Big 12 All-Tournament Team on Saturday evening.

Arizona’s Jaden Bradley was named the Most Outstanding Player and was joined on the all-tournament team by his teammate Brayden Burries, Houston’s Joseph Tugler, Iowa State’s Milan Momcilovic and Dybantsa.

During the Cougars three games in Kansas City, Dybantsa broke Kevin Durant’s tournament scoring record with 93 points in three games, one more than the former Texas Longhorn scored during their run to the title game. The 6-foot-9 forward averaged 31.0 points, 7.0 rebounds and 3.7 assists while shooting 52.4 percent from the field, 35.7 percent from three and 88.0 percent from the free throw line.

In their over Kansas State in the opening round of the tournament, Dybantsa broke Durant’s freshman Big 12 Tournament scoring record with 40 points helping the Cougars score a conference tournament record 105 points. He went 15-of-21 form the field, 2-of-6 from three and 8-of-9 from the charity stripe in the win over the Wildcats.

The Brockton, Mass. native followed that up with 27 points, seven rebounds and three assists in a 66-46 win over West Virginia as the Cougars won multiple games at a conference tournament for the first time since 2022. In a 73-66 loss to No. 5 Houston, Dybantsa had 26 points after shooting 7-of-18 from the field, 3-of-5 from three and 9-of-10 from the free throw line.
