PROVO, Utah – BYU men’s track and field competes at the Texas Relays and the Texas State Bobcat Invitational April 2-4 in Austin, Texas.

Texas Relays

Opening up competition for the Cougars Thursday afternoon will be Treyton Anderson, Garrett Copelin and Brayden Dahl in the 400-meter hurdles. Dahl set the No. 7 all-time BYU record in the event a week earlier finishing in 50.32 seconds.

Silas Zimmerman and Dallin Thornton will close the evening for BYU with an expected appearance in the pole vault.

Mark Bryant will kick off competition Friday in the discus in his first appearance since opening his career with a first place finish in the event at the Utah Tech invitational two weeks earlier.

Fellow thrower Tyler Poole will appear alongside Erik Bryant in the shot put with Sam Jennings, Brinton Paulson and Carson Riner set to compete in the javelin throw. 

After competing the day before, Copelin will return to action to compete alongside Jayden Jessee in the 110-meter hurdles. The Cougars will also compete in the 4x100-meter relay.

Saturday Mark Bryant will compete in the shot put.

Bobcat Invitational

On Thursday the Bryant brothers alongside Poole will compete together in the discus. The trio will then return to action at the meet on Saturday competing in the hammer throw and the shot put.

Hayden Gribble, Connor Saunders and Carter Walker are set to make an appearance in the high jump Friday with Zimmerman and Thornton competing in the pole vault.
