PROVO, Utah – BYU’s hurdlers, throwers, jumpers and pole vaulters will compete at the Pacific Coast Invitational in Long Beach, Calif. on April 16 at Jack Rose Track.

Zoey Bonds and Tia Brown will compete in the 100-meter hurdles. Bonds clocked a 13.46 at the Trojan Invitational earlier this season, earning the No. 7 time in program history. Brown’s best mark in the event is 13.77, set at last week’s Bryan Clay Multis.

Lia Katoa, Kat Beachler and Jayda Lee will compete in the hammer throw. Katoa recently moved to No. 4 in program history with a mark of 58.25m/191-1. Lee and Katoa will later join Kaiah Fisher in the discus. In a 60-person field, Fisher enters as the No. 7 seed after moving to No. 4 in program history with a throw of 55.09m/180-9 at last weekend’s Weber State Spring Classic. Lia Pili, Beachler and Fisher will also compete in the shot put.

High jumpers Sarena Mackley and Mae Johnson will compete in their event, with Johnson entering as the third-highest seed at 1.80m/5-10.75.

Cailee Faulkner and Abbie Scott will compete in the pole vault. Scott has cleared 4.25m/13-11.25, which is tied for No. 4 in program history.
