- Son of Mary and Charlie Brown
- Has three brothers and eight sisters
- Brother pole vaulted, sister played volleyball and dad played volleyball all at BYU
- Served in the California Los Angeles Mission (2007-09) for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints
- Enjoys rock climbing, mountain biking, fixing bikes, canyoneering, and anything outdoors
- Fluent Spanish speaker
- Majoring in civil engineering
Before BYU
- Prepped at Capital High
- Played soccer, baseball, basketball and track & field
- Named to All-state teams in track & field and soccer
- Placed 15th in the pole vault and 17th in decathlon at the Junior Olympic National Track Meet
- Participated in the National Honors Society
- Holds the Montana state record in the pole vault for the 14-year-old age group (13-00.75)
- Holds the Montana high school pole vault record (15-06.00)
