- Daughter of Gregory and Joanna Beck
- Has three younger brothers and a twin sister, Amber
- Got started in gymnastics she had a lot of energy as a child and her mother wanted to put that energy to good use
- Floor is her favorite event because "I can put my personality into it and really get the crowd going."
- Enjoys waterskiing, socializing and dancing
Before BYU
- Arizona State Champion
- Two-time Region I fifth place finisher
- Qualified twice for Junior Olympics and helped team to a second-place finish the second year
- Qualified for Nationals for the first time in 1992
