KNOW BEFORE YOU GO

ESPN's College GameDay Built by The Home Depot is college football's premier pre-game show. The show travels to a different college campus or game site each week of the season from late August/early September through the College Football Playoff National Championship in January. The locations - usually announced a week in advance - are chosen by ESPN based on competitive matchups, rivalries and other factors.

College GameDay extends far beyond talking about the games on the field, bringing several activities for fans to enjoy alongside their insights. One of the most notable new additions is Pat McAfee’s Kicking Contest, where the analyst offers his own money to one lucky student who can successfully kick a field goal.

Students and fans have the opportunity for up-close view of the show by standing in the pit immediately adjacent to the stage. Selection is on a first-come, first-serve basis for all fans. Students admitted to the pit are encouraged to wear school colors and should have a numbered wristband. Participants are subject to ESPN security procedures and policies.

Students can start lining up on Friday, October 16 at 3:00 pm. The pit will open on Saturday, October 17 at 3:30 am.

Campus Security and BYU Police will ask students to leave before 3:00 pm of October 16.

Fans can line up starting at 3:00 pm on Friday, October 16. Starting at the Northwest corners of Heritage Halls Building 6.

Please continue the line to the south, and then eastward along the perimeter of the sidewalk. See image below.

Campus Security and BYU Police will ask students to leave before 3:00 pm of October 16.

NOTE: Everything you bring (tents, chairs, belongings, etc.) needs to be cleaned up before you enter the show. Anything left will be thrown away.

Students are encouraged to bring their best signs to the show. ESPN's "College GameDay" has made it clear that five different types of signs are banned from the show. No vulgar signs, .com, .net, .org, political or religious signs are allowed.

All signs brought to Saturday's taping will be inspected before entry and must abide by College GameDay's sign policies or will be removed. ESPN's "College GameDay" security crews have the right to remove someone, or their sign, if they violate the rules of the show during the time that it is airing.

College GameDay is available nationally on ESPN, ESPNU, the ESPN App and Disney+.
