HONOLULU – The Weinman Foundation Invitational concluded with Bobo Huang securing multiple ranked singles victories throughout the week.
The Cougars secured 21 singles victories and ten doubles victories during the Invitational. In singles, Huang (2-2) defeated Cal Berkeley's Katja Wiersholm, ranked No. 36 in the nation, and picked up another ranked victory over NC State's Anna Zyryanova, ranked No. 40 in the country.
"This week in Hawaii was a great start to our 2024 season. We had the opportunity to test ourselves against some of the best teams and players in the country, and we won some great battles," said head coach Holly Hasler. "Several of the girls achieved the best wins of their college careers so far. We are excited for a great season ahead."
