SACRAMENTO, Calif. – Alexa Udom (73-70-71–214) led BYU to a sixth place finish at the Causeway Invitational at Del Paso Country Club on Tuesday afternoon.

While tying for fourth, senior Udom posted the best finish of her career at the event, recording her lowest 54-hole score at 2-under. Udom finished the competition with scores of 73-70-72–214, tying her current career 18-hole low with 2-under 70 in the second round.

Oregon State finished 11-under to finish in first place. Sacramento State (285-277-293–855) took second place and Colorado finished in third with its 6-over 870. UC Davis (288-288-299–875) finished in fourth and San Francisco, who shot 15-over-par, rounded out the top five.

Maria Jose “MJ” Barragan notched her sixth top 15 finish of the season after finishing tied for 15th. She shot 72-74-72–218 to go 2-over throughout the competition.

Lily McCauley tied for 30th with her rounds of 72-77-73–222. Sunbin Seo went 11-over with rounds of 72-79-76–227. Seo made three birdies of her back nine in today’s round.

Kanyanol (Naji) Aramkul finished tied for 68th.

Lilly DeNunzio and Adeline (Anderson) Wach competed as individuals this week. DeNunzio shot 75-70-72–217 to go 5-over. Wach tied for 47th with her 11-over.

The Cougars return to play from Mar. 24-25 in Lahaina, Hawaii at the Royal Ka’anapali Golf Course.
