FORT COLLINS, Colo. – Play was suspended on Monday evening at the Colonel Wollenberg Ptarmigan Ram Classic at Ptarmigan Golf and Country Club with BYU women's golf tied for 11th at 12-over par.
BYU has two players with three holes to play and three players with four holes left.
Colorado holds the top spot on the leaderboard at 17-under par. Following the Buffaloes are California State Fullerton at 12-under par, California Poly at nine-under par, Nebraska at six-under par and Washington at two-under par to round out the top five.
Senior Lily McCauley sits at 2-over par in a tie for 30th to lead the way for BYU. After carding one birdie in round one, McCauley carded an additional two birdies in the second round, with three holes to finish tomorrow morning.
Junior Berlin Long is tied for 35th at 3-over as darkness suspended her second 18 holes. Long leads all Cougars in birdies made after sinking three in her first round and another two in the second round, with four holes left to play.
Whitney Banz is currently tied for 45th after carding a 4-over par on day one. Banz made two birdies in round one and one in round two, with three holes left in her second round.
Junior Maria Jose “MJ” Barragan and sophomore Kanyanol (Naji) Aramkul are tied for 49th overall at 5-over par. Barragan’s birdie count is four through 32 holes. Aramkul carded all three of her birdies in the second round.
While participating as an individual, senior Sunbin Seo is tied for 62nd after day one. Seo recorded two birdies in each round, with three holes left to play.
The Cougars will complete the remaining holes from round two in the morning before teeing off in the final round tomorrow. Play will resume on Tuesday at 8:30 a.m. MST. Live scoring can be found on Scoreboard with updates posted on Instagram and X.
