PROVO, Utah – Women’s golf will travel to Broken Arrow, Oklahoma for the Route 66 Invitational Honoring Dale McNamara at Cedar Ridge Country Club on Oct. 13-14.

Last October, the Cougars took home a fourth place finish with Kanyanol (Naji) Aramkul posting a 4-over par to take sixth overall. This is Aramkul’s best overall finish in her BYU career. 

BYU is coming off a sixth place showing at Blessings Collegiate Invitational. In only her second career start, sophomore Ava Schroeder secured eighth overall after posting a 6-over-par score.

The Cougar starting five includes senior Lily McCauley, junior Maria Jose “MJ” Barragan, sophomore Ava Schroeder, junior Whitney Banz and junior Lilly DeNunzio who is making her first start of the season. Sophomore Aramkul will compete as an individual. 

BYU is one of 14 teams competing at the 6,366-yard course. The rest of the field consists of host Tulsa, Rutgers, Georgia Southern, Oral Roberts, Oklahoma, Florida Gulf Coast, Arkansas, Montana State, Wisconsin, Cal Poly, Minnesota, Sam Houston and Alabama. 

Monday will feature an 18-hole round one and two followed by the final round teeing off on Tuesday.
