BROKEN ARROW, Okla. — Women’s golf (300-305-290–895) finished the Route 66 Invitational Honoring Dale McNamara in 10th place after a 6-over-par closing round at Cedar Ridge Country Club. 

“The girls were able to perform better by controlling their focus and reactions better,” said head coach Carrie Roberts. “They stayed within what they could control and managed themselves much better.”

While participating as an individual, Kanyanol (Naji) Aramkul (72-72-70–214) took home a share for seventh after making three birdies on her way to a 1-under-par final round and a 1-over-par finish. This marks Aramkul’s second career top-10 finish. The sophomore's first was last October at this same 6,181-yard course where she took home sixth place.

Junior Maria Jose “MJ” Barragan (78-74-71–223) tied for 34th place after an even-par final round and her best round of the tournament. 

Ava Schroeder (74-79-73–226) carded a 2-over-par round to close out the event in a tie for 48th place.

Lily McCauley (77-73-77–227) ended up tying for 53rd after recording a 6-over par on the day. 

Whitney Banz (73-82-73–228) and Lilly DeNunzio (76-79-73–228) each shot 2-over par to claim a share of the 57th spot. 

The Cougars look ahead to Lihue, Hawaii for the Rainbow Wahine Invitational at Hokuala Golf Club on Oct. 20-22.
