PROVO, Utah — BYU women’s golf is set to tee off at the Thunderbird Intercollegiate at Tucson Country Club in Tucson, Arizona from Feb. 9-10.
In their last event, the Cougars captured a fifth place finish at the Collegiate Invitational at Guadalajara Country Club. Maria Jose “MJ” Barragan secured a T-10 finish to earn her second top-10 finish of the season and eighth of her career.
There will be 15 schools competing in the field. Alongside the Cougars, host Arizona, Baylor, UNC Charlotte, Texas Tech, Marshall, Arizona State, Stanford, Arkansas at Little Rock, Wisconsin, Colorado, Seattle, Cal Poly, Grand Canyon and Oklahoma State will participate in the event.
BYU will feature the same five players in its lineup as they did in the last tournament. Barragan, sophomores Kanyanol (Naji) Aramkul and Ava Schroeder, junior Whitney Banz and senior Lily McCauley will represent the Cougars in Tucson.
