FRISCO, Texas — BYU women’s golfers Kanyanol (Naji) Aramkul, Whitney Banz, María José “MJ” Barragán, Lily McCauley and Ava Schroeder earned 2025-26 WGCA All-American Scholar honors on Monday.
To be selected to the All-American Scholar Team, a student-athlete must have an overall GPA of 3.5 or higher, remain on the team’s roster throughout the season and compete in at least 50% of their team’s scheduled events.
The award recognizes high-level achievement in both academics and competition.
A pre-business major, Aramkul holds a 3.75 GPA and competed in nine of BYU’s 11 tournaments this season, including the Big 12 Championship.
Banz, who has the highest GPA among the five honorees at 3.96, competed in all 11 tournaments for BYU this season. The exercise and wellness major also recently competed in the 128th Utah State Amateur Championship, becoming just the fifth woman in the history of the event to do so.
A marketing major with a 3.51 GPA, Barragán played in 11 events this season. The junior tied for 11th at the NCAA Louisville Regional after earning an individual berth with five top-25 finishes, including four top-15 and three top-10 finishes in the regular season.
McCauley completed her college career with a 3.56 GPA in communication studies. The senior tied for 12th at the Big 12 Championship as BYU’s top finisher in the event.
A native of Twin Falls, Idaho, Schroeder is an exercise and wellness major with a 3.62 GPA. She led all BYU women’s golfers at the Blessings Collegiate Invitational by placing eighth, a career best.
