- Was team captain, three-time academic all-state and a member of the student council
- As a senior he had a 6-1 record with a 1.47 ERA
- Played in the City/Suburban Senior All-Star Classic
- Was the city 4A-5A pitcher of the Year. coached by Matt Buczkowski
- Played for the Cherry Creek team which won the state Connie Mack League
