Before BYU
- Was second team all-state for Blue Valley Northwest High
- Played in the Kansas All-State Game
- Two-time first team All-Eastern Kansas League
- Selected to the All-Sunflower team in 2006 as well as All-Johnson County
- Was honorable mention All-Metro in 2006
- Played two years of varsity basketball
- Set several prep records on the 6A level
- Coached by Corby Lange
