- In 2010 he was 5A MVP by the Deseret News
- Two-time first-team all-state, batting .532 with 10 homers, 14 doubles and 35 RBI as a senior
- As a junior, he batted .463, had an on-base percentage of .536, hit 11 doubles, five home runs and drove in 32 runs
- Played for Jeff Scholzen on the Angels Scout team
