Before BYU
- Jensen earned the 2001 Deseret News Mr. Basketball Award after scoring 25.8 points and pulling down 13 rebounds per game as a senior at Fremont High School
- Averaged 17 points and 10 rebounds per game as a junior when he also earned Salt Lake Tribune and Deseret News All-State honors
- Earned Ogden Standard Examiner All-Area recognition three years and was the Standard Star player four times
- Played center in high school as a four-year starter
- Named team MVP
- Academic all-state and graduated with highest honors with 3.996 GPA
