Born in Provo, Utah...parents are Veldon and Barbara Taylor...majoring in neuroscience.
Before BYU
set a school record of 1:55 in the 800m at Orem HS...received the Male Scholar Athlete of the Year award in 1994...placed 2nd in the region in the 800m in 1994...ran on the region record-setting 4x400m relay team in 1994...finished 2nd at state in the 800m.
