- Four-year letterwinner in both track and cross country at Timpview HS in Provo, Utah
- Academic all-region in track and cross country
- Member of the National Honor Society, graduating with honors
- Two-time MVP in cross country, once in track
- Named all-region in cross country for three years and a seven-time all-region honoree in track
- Region champion in the 3200m and 800m
- Two-year all-state recipient in cross country and a runner-up in the 800m and 3200m in track
- 2009 Great Southwest steeplechase champion
