Maryon Dewitt Wallentine played two years for the Cougars after transferring from Ricks College. She was a two-year starter on the mound and was the BYU all-time strikeout leader until 2008. Off the field, she was a two-time Cougar Scholar Athlete award, two-time academic all-conference and all-conference selection.
