- Prepped at Konawaena High School
- Recorded 51 tackles, 27.5 tackles for loss and 7.0 sacks in 2019
- Named All-State in 2018 and 2019 as well as All-BIIF
- BIIF defensive player of the year as a junior
- Participated in the 2020 Polynesian Bowl
- During his junior season, he tallied 67 tackles, 17 sacks, three forced fumbles and three fumble recoveries
- Also lettered in track and field placing fourth in the BIIF Championship in both the shot put and discus
- First to receive a D1 four-year college offer for football from his high school
