Ross Apo came to BYU ranked the No. 13 wide receiver in the nation by Rivals.com. He totaled nearly 2,000 receiving yards at The Oakridge School in Arlington, Texas. As a four-time letterman at BYU, Apo played in a total of 48 games and started in 16. He averaged 12.3 yards per catch during his career. As a freshman Apo was named FBS Independent Freshman of the Year and was the second-leading receiver on the team with 34 passes for 453 yards and nine touchdowns.
