In 2001: A first-team All-MWC performer... started 13-of-13 regular-season games and started at corner back in the Liberty Bowl against No. 22 Louisville... a second-team Media All-MWC selection... earned Football News First-Team All-MWC honors... received coaches awards for performances against Utah State, New Mexico, Colorado State and Utah... ranked seventh on the BYU roster with 56 tackles, including 46 solo takedowns... credited with a team-leading six interceptions for 131 yards, including a game-saving, fourth-quarter 50-yard interception return against Utah... also recorded two interceptions against New Mexico, including a game-saving pick late in the fourth quarter... credited with a season-high 62-yard interception return in a 54-34 win over Utah State... credited with 17 pass deflections, including a season-high three defelections in a 41-34 victory at Wyoming... finished the 2001 season ranked no. 15 nationally in interceptions with seven.
