In 2001:
- Competed in all 14 games for the Cougars, including starts against Tulane and Air Force
- Recorded 27 tackles on the season, including 20 unassisted takedowns
- Registered a season-high six tackles in his career debut (vs. Tulane), including four solo tackles
- Posted two interceptions on the season, including one at New Mexico and one at Hawaii
- Credited with four pass deflections
Before BYU
- An all-state and all-league selection as a senior
- Helped lead Kahuku HS to a state championship as a senior
- Earned a trip to the Hawaii All-Star game
