In 2001: Saw action in six games as a freshman... credited with one reception for six yards (vs. Nevada)... returned three kicks during the regular season, posting an average 22.3 yards per return... recorded a season-high return of 31 yards against Colorado State... credited with three kick returns against Louisville in the 2001 Liberty Bowl, averaging 13.0 yards per return.
Before BYU
An all-academic performer at Torrey Pines HS... a two-time letterman... helped guide Torrey Pines to a 13-0-1 record and CIF Championship as a senior... earned All-CIF and all-county honors... listed as the "Fastest Man in California" at the 1997 Nike Combine... also a four-year letterwinner in track, winning both the 100- and 200-meter county championships.
