In 2002: Listed as a preseason first-team All-MWC selection by the league's media, Street & Smith's, Athlon Sports and Jim Feist ... named by Street & Smith's as a preseason honorable mention All-American selection ... named as an Outland Trophy and Lombardi Award candidate ... suffered a season-edning leg fracture with 13 days prior to the Cougars' season-opener against Syracuse.
In 2001: A second-team All-MWC selection as a junior... earned Academic All-MWC honors... started 13-of-13 regular-season games and started at right tackle in the Liberty Bowl against No. 22 Louisville... played offensive line for top- ranked offense in the nation (averaging 46.8 points and 542.8 yards per game)... provided protection for Heisman Trophy candidate Brandon Doman, who threw for over 3,500 yards... earned Honorable Mention Media All-MWC... received coaches awards against Utah State and Mississippi State... a key blocker for Doak Walker Award winner Luke Staley, who scored 28 touchdowns and rushed for 1,596 yards on the season.
In 2000: Earned All-Mountain West Conference Honorable-Mention honors as a sophomore... named to the MWC All-Academic Team... started all 11 games for the Cougars at right tackle... earned coaches' award for performances against Virginia, San Diego State, Colorado State and New Mexico... part of an improving offensive line that did not allowed a single sack in back-to-back games, marking the first time the Cougars have not allowed a single sack in consecutive games since the 1985 season... provided pass protection for the top-ranked BYU passing offense, which averaged 274.6 yards per game.
