In 2001: Earned All-MWC Academic honors ... competed in 12 regular-season games as a freshman... a significant contributor on special teams... recorded 10 tackles on the season, including five solo takedowns... made one fumble recovery (at Hawaii)... posted a season-high two tackles at Mississippi State.
Before BYU
All-state selection at linebacker and tight end for Evanston High School... lettered three times in football and basketball and four times in track... was named the 4-A lineman of the year... selected to the Wyoming super-25 team... led Evanston to a 9-1 record and a 4-A state title... finished second in the 1997 state discus competition.
